I spent one hour writing my post. Judging from the structure and your smooth writing flow I guess you might have spent more time than that writing that. Thank you so much such a detailed analysis that let me entertain a new point of view.

The original original source of the idiom “frog in a well” (井底之蛙) was a conversation between two rivers (Zhaungzi must be so high while talking to his disciples). The river was arrogant because when his water rose people can’t see from one side of the river to the other. But then the river entered the ocean and realised that he was so freaking tiny and small and unimportant. I think the story is humans in general shouldn’t think they are important and entitled simply because the world is wide.

You raised a good point about willing to communicating our world (our small well) to other people, but an important thing to remember is not to sound like a bragging asshole while doing so. That’s how the frog made a fool of himself.
