Shirley’s Shorts (2) — Hong Kong is a Bad Game of Sims

Believe it or not, someone actually took a picture of the buildings opposite my home on Unsplash. Photo by Serge George on Unsplash
Again, short intro:
This is the second instalment of Shirley's Shorts. Expect no structure, no content of substance, because I am just posting an elaborated version of my previous Facebook posts while working on... something.

Yet another disclaimer: Hey, I am not a gamer. The only Sims game I have played is Sims Freeplay and Sims City on iPad, so don’t send me hate mail if I got the details wrong.

Sometimes I feel like Hong Kong is an abandoned game of the Sims.

There’s probably a really rich player who bought tons of add-ons, like pets for 80% of the Sims, tons of different kinds of animals with wetlands and countryside and clearly human-made rocks located right next to the city, unlocked all the villas and swimming pools and dancing centres etc.

And then one day the game glitched and added tons of Sims to the game. Like 7 million of them. And then the houses glitched so that they all stacked on top of each other, which explains the buildings. The player probably just went “well i can’t possibly control 7 million Sims” and abandoned the game.

Then as Sims we have no clue what to do with this place and we just keep on doing what we have been doing.
