This Is Why I Am Successful

A shameless parody

If I can boil down my “recipe for success” to one sentence, it would be this:

My expectation towards everything in life is probably lower than yours.

The above photo is me with the oysters I just got from Borough Market in London at 19 years old. I was in a London study tour with my university schoolmates. We had oysters from the same shop just a week before this photo was taken. I am not paid to advertise the oysters — the taste was indeed life-changing.

A week after that, we visited Disneyland Paris. We woke up at 11am that day, but only managed to leave our hotel room at 12nn. We got on all the rides we wanted and took pictures with the squared trees.

We visited Disneyland Paris for free, because a friend of my friend worked in Disneyland Hong Kong and got us free tickets.

I didn’t pay for these moments while I am travelling. They were all bonus moments I didn’t expect to have and therefore, I enjoyed them a lot. We had the time of our lives.

I am now working as an English teaching assistant in a primary school. And because of all the pleasant surprises at work, I am still having the time of my life.
